Our advice to couples concerning their choice of a wedding photographer usually involves answering these three questions: Do you like the photographer's work? How do we book Andy Chitock Photography
for our wedding? How many assistants do you use at weddings? What is your typical coverage time? Start and finish times are set by you. As a general guide, it’s common to begin with the brides final preparations at home, and if there’s time nip off to catch the groom in the pub. Then to the ceremony, through the wedding breakfast and on until the first dance. But it’s your day – I’ll photograph what you ask me to. If you have fireworks at midnight, then I’ll even stay for those. What shooting style do you use for weddings? Notes on Formal Photos: We do always ask the bride and groom to make a specific list of all the formal shots they require prior to the wedding. This is not to say we’re not flexible on the day, but it allows for thought and consideration to keep them to a minimum. Such a list also helps to speed up the process of taking the formal photos, so that there is less time taken in making last-minute decisions on whom to include. How many photos do you take during a typical wedding day? How soon after the wedding can the bride and groom expect to see the
pictures? At the reception, are the bride and groom expected to make arrangements
to feed the photographer along with the other guests? But, as for expecting to be included in the wedding breakfast? Absolutely not. We realise that the budgets of most wedding couples must take into account the per-person expenses related to inviting guests to dine. In many cases, those expenses limit the number of guests that can be asked to join in the wedding meal. We would not want to think that a wedding guest or two might have been left off the wedding couple's list so that they could accommodate feeding the photographer. A bar meal is more than adequate - however many venues are more than happy to provide a meal for the photographer that is not included in your costs: you just need to ask! Quickies: Should we meet? What is your deposit policy? Can all of our pictures be posted online? Can we have a CD with the web images? Can our friends order photos online? What type of albums do you offer? Do you offer engagement photography? How many proofs will we get? What else do we have to pay on top of the package price? Do you visit venue location prior to the wedding day? Can we have parent books? Do you travel? How much extra for destination weddings? Are you fully insured? Do you use Film or Digital? More questions? Feel free to ring or mail us. |
